Tuesday July 30, 2024 | Journal prompt from Copilot | We learn an important lesson at a young age

Absolutely! Here are some journal prompts for self-discovery: “What are three things you’re grateful for today, and why?” I am grateful for a house to live in. I am grateful for ice cold water to drink. I am grateful for      2.   “What is one thing you would change about your life right now if you could, and why?” I would change the way that I developed selective mutism which it might be a learned experience.  But if I can do hypnosis, I would be able to dig deeper into it?      3.  “Write a letter to your future self. What hopes and dreams do you have for the future?” Actually, when I was about 9 or 10 I wanted to be an actress.  But because I was in the hospital in Galveston Texas.    4.  “What are your top three personal values and how do they influence your decisions?” I don't know if I have any values at all.  Jason says that I don't have any  integrity, but other people do say that I have it.  But the...

Monday July 29, 2024 | Sign Language

Image
Can people with selective mutism use sign language? Children with SM can certainly be taught non-verbal communication tools, including sign language or using PECs (picture exchange cards). This can be helpful in increasing overall communication for a child who does not communicate at all in necessary settings. I find this sucky because of this... I wonder why my parents didn't think of sign language until I felt more comfortable to speak in front of people? Because my parents had a better salution... They believed that people who are hearing could not learn sign language. Me? I found it more interesting. Here I was..... in 1979 and 5 and in kindergarten scared to death because kids in class were calling me weird including that little once red headed kid name Paul Beaumont. Which by the way, I had a crush on him. Uh-huh. :) I could have been talking in sign language until I was able to speak. UGH!!!!! So stupid!!! My parents had a better solution. They thought that hearing peo...

Sunday July 28, 2024 | Give yourself a new haircut

Image
I have already tried that new makeover.  I typed in google hairstyles for women over 50 and this is the result that I got!   Here is a picture of me down below.  My idea came from a picture doing a search from Google.com.  So I found one with thick hair with a with something that would frame my fat face.  If anyone loses weight, I don't think that anyone will lose weight in their face--huh?  lol!

Friday July 26, 2024 | Dreaming about my future

Image
“Imagine your life five years from now. What does it look like? Where are you living? What are you doing for work? Who are the important people in your life? How do you feel?” Well.  I supposed I want to live on a beach out in southern California.  Sitting out on my balcony writing in my blog and drinking coffee, tea or a coke.  But I would have to stop spending so much money to even afford to do that.  I'm not going to have that social security to lay back on forever.  I suppose that I will lose SS sometime.  But in the meantime, I need to work on not spending so much money.  I will be a writer and the important people in my life will be my family and people I will meet along the way.  It would be kind of nice to just think about and dream about.   The picture of the apartment building that is here on this page is just a make-believe apartment complex.  Okay. It maybe real but I don't know that for sure anyway.

Thursday July 25, 2024 | I was really mindful of the conversations in my head with people

Ok. I was really mindful of the conversations in my head with people.  I'm going to really let go and admit everything that I was just having a conversation about in my head with and it just happens to be Jason.  It was weather and that he is really afraid of thunder and the wind.  Living down the southeast my whole life, I am not afraid of thunder or rain.  I am however, afraid of lightening as it can strike you at at anytime.  Believe it or not if you are on the toilet and lightening strikes, it can electrocute you.  Not sure about a man, as they never even touch the toilet unless men are taking a poop.  If you are in the shower and it starts to thunder and lightening, I suggest you finish up and the get the heck out of there pronto!  That is what I do!   But yeah, there is nothing to worry about with thunderstorms.  Hearing thunder and the rain it's like listening to meditation sounds.  As for the lightening I don't know abo...

Tuesday July 23, 2024 | Journal Prompt for Self-Discovery | Anxiety/Panic Attack

“Write about a personal challenge you’ve overcome. How did you manage to do it? What did you learn about yourself in the process? How has this experience shaped your perspective or behavior?" I don't know, would selective mutism be a fear of public speaking?   I would like to overcome that.  Or have I even began to even overcome the fear of speaking?  Do I even have that fear of speaking?   No one even realizes how much I have had a panic attack over the last month!  I have taken hydroxyzine.  Well one is about the colonascopy I will have done.  Once I get past that prep, it is smooth sailing!  Oh that last colonascopy I did in 2022, was I got sick and threw up the stuff because I chugged it down so fast.  Noticed that I didn't know how to do this journal prompt so I answered with a question?   “Overcoming the fear of public speaking.” Many people struggle with the fear of public speaking. It can be a significant hurdle, e...
