I know they will say that I'm angry and just trying to get attention out of all of this. Then they will ask why I said that and why I don't want to do that. And then they will think I am pitching a fit and won't do what they are telling the courts. No, mom, I will not take this blog down.
I mean I want help but don't want them talking about me like I'm not in the room.
No, this is NOT a bad day. This is an issue I want to solve and I am going to want help to do this. Again, I do not want to live with my sister and brother-in-law or with my aunt. The problem is that no one is going to want to listen to anyone like me with mental health issues because they don't know what I am saying. If they won't listen to me, then I will go to someone that will! I would rather live with AJ than with my sister and brother-in-law. AJ is a good person and loves me for me.
You just don't want to deal with me just because I have a mental health condition called Selective Mutism. I can overcome this. I know what I want. I want to overcome this before I die and I'm not getting any younger.
No one is ever allowed to make a big deal out of a Selectively Mute individual for speaking. Okay, you can make a big deal of out of it a little bit but that's it. Well for me anyway. I can speak for other SM individuals when I say that. I love positive feedback and encouragement. Any other SM individual maybe be anxious.
The key to making an SM individual feel comfortable:
Make the person feel as comfortable as possible.
Please be patient.
Please wait at least 5 minutes for an answer, depending on the SM individual.
