I will wait for you
I am anxious,
As I wait for you.
I will wait for you
As I can do all things through
Christ who strengthens me.
I will wait for you
As I cast all of cares aside.
I will wait for you,
So boldly say,
Jesus, what can you do for me?
I will wait for you,
See God has come to save me,
I will wait for you,
Peace I will give you as not as the world gives.
Pam, I have been writing since 1981 and have over 2500 poems and lyrics. That being said, I am not a poetry writers guru. I think that what anyone writes is good as long as it comes from their heart. Also it is good if it ministers life to someone else as well as giving life to the writer in the process. My style is more lyrical and has a more consistent meter to it but that is not how everyone writes. If you wanted to leave it as a poem, that would be great as it has a good message. You would need to work on some things if you wanted it to work as a lyric to a song. Just some thoughts from an old man. Have a great evening. Keep writing if the Lord is leading you to and if you enjoy it.
