Tuesday July 29, 2025 | Helicopter Parents? Yes or No?

I ran across on YouTube an individual who is in her 30's still living with her parents.  She has a joint bank account with her mother and her mother takes care of her money.  It sounds similar to me except she has ADHD and some other problems. It is in her videos.  And me? I have selective mutism. This is why I think I am sheltored.  It is because my parents think that people could take advantage of me. Am I right or am I right?  I am pretty sure I am right.

Down below is a link to a YouTube video I found of a woman in her 30's in a similar situation like me.  I wanted so much to find someone else in a similar situation.  Well almost but not quite.  She does still live with her mom and stepdad.  I understand more than anyone knows.(i think) She was talking about helicopter parents but I still don't think so.  They do these things because they love me and don't want to see me get hurt or fall on my face.  I believe that my parents would foam rubber all of Beaumont Texas just to see me fall on something soft. (joke) LOL!   But what exactly is helicopter parents?  I typed in helicopter parents in google but then I remembered my parents saying everything was "bullshit" on the internet and that the internet is so scary.  So I decided that this is not the same thing as me.  It's just the fact that she was still living with her parents.  But that is really not the same situation.  I mean they don't fly over my head and watch what I do.  I mean they don't watch me take a shower or go with me and Jason to the store.  Everything I did was my fault.  I made myself lose my jobs.  I admit it, it was my own fault!
